Seeking Book Blogs to Help Authors Get Reviews

After doing the guest post on Wendy's blog about reviews, I realized how helpful it would be to have a list of book reviewing blogs for writers to research when they have a new release coming out.

The two I follow are Thoughts in Progress (Mason Canyon) and Fabulosity Reads (Wendy). I setup a sidebar link feature with these two excellent reviewers. But I sure would like to find more!!

If you or someone you know would like to be listed here as a book reviewer, please let me know in the comments. Online book reviews are a terrific resource for authors to get the word out about their books. Thanks for your help!

  1. Because I write mysteries, I have a list of mystery book reviewer blogs that might be interested in reading my book.

  4. I review everything except erotica and I'm not a huge fan of romance. I also do guest spots and giveaways. I am always looking for new authors to read and accept kindle and print books.

  5. I review YA, adult sci fi and fantasy when I can get my hands on new books. Lately I've been pulling out some of my old favorites. Fridays are the day for me if I have a review.

And I would love to review more! I wouldn't mind other genres--I actually enjoy good mysteries, crime, chick lit--no erotica though.

  6. See how my link list is shaping up! And I have a call out on Twitter as well. Alex and Clarissa, I'll go to your blogs and see what you have. By Monday, I should have a pretty nice list of reviewers for authors to draw from.

  10. Hi Karen. Great idea. Why wasn't it done before? I collaborate on a book review blog, Reading at Dawn: http:readingatdawn.blogspot.com and also write reviews on my blog, L'Aussie and do author guest posts.

    Thanks for doing this.

  13. What a great and incredibly helpful idea, Karen; thank you!

I post book reviews every other Tuesday on Bird’s-eye View, http://michellefayard.blogspot.com, and run the author interview that Thursday, usually in conjunction with a giveaway contest; this can be either a book or a service such as a query or first 200 words critique.

All reviews that post on Bird’s-eye View also go on www.amazon.com and www.goodreads.com. I also include the book on my blog page Books by Blogging Friends.

I am open to most fiction genres and age levels, although I tend to shy away from sci-fi and fantasy and especially love historical fiction and mysteries.

  15. I've read a few bloggers books, but not sure if I have much time to do any more this summer. Maybe this fall when the editing of Opening is finished I could do a few reviews.

  17. I don't know if you've ever checked out MizB's "Teaser Tuesday"s, but there are tons of bloggers who participate who are mostly book bloggers. Her link is:

And I also post reviews whenever I read a book.

  19. Hi Karen,

I came through after reading Deniz's post. I review romance novels and post on more than ten different sites. The links are on the sidebar of my blog.

And every week I feature an author with giveaways.

Thanks, you came up with a great idea!

  22. I know that there are countless book reviewing sites, but I wanted to get links of reviewers that I either know and follow, or that are recommended to me. It narrows the field somewhat to have a list of bloggers who are willing to accept a reviewing request.
