After doing the guest post on Wendy's blog about reviews, I realized how helpful it would be to have a list of book reviewing blogs for writers to research when they have a new release coming out.
The two I follow are Thoughts in Progress (Mason Canyon) and Fabulosity Reads (Wendy). I setup a sidebar link feature with these two excellent reviewers. But I sure would like to find more!!
If you or someone you know would like to be listed here as a book reviewer, please let me know in the comments. Online book reviews are a terrific resource for authors to get the word out about their books. Thanks for your help!
Because I write mysteries, I have a list of mystery book reviewer blogs that might be interested in reading my book.
ReplyDeleteI review books on my site, and we love having advance copies of books sent to our indy bookshop in London NW3.

For anyone who needs science fiction reviewers, I have a list in my sidebar.
ReplyDeleteI review everything except erotica and I'm not a huge fan of romance. I also do guest spots and giveaways. I am always looking for new authors to read and accept kindle and print books.

I review YA, adult sci fi and fantasy when I can get my hands on new books. Lately I've been pulling out some of my old favorites. Fridays are the day for me if I have a review.
ReplyDeleteAnd I would love to review more! I wouldn't mind other genres--I actually enjoy good mysteries, crime, chick lit--no erotica though.
See how my link list is shaping up! And I have a call out on Twitter as well. Alex and Clarissa, I'll go to your blogs and see what you have. By Monday, I should have a pretty nice list of reviewers for authors to draw from.
ReplyDeleteI review about everything except nonfiction, although my favorite genres are fantasy, mystery, and horror. I also love YA.

I enjoy reviewing books on my website and blog--Romance, Paranormal Romance, YA Romance, Paranormal YA Romance (seeing a theme here?), Gay Romance, Erotica, Gay Erotica...

Great idea Karen!
ReplyDeleteHi Karen .. great thought .. I'm sure you'll find a few to get the ball rolling .. Have a great weekend .. Hilary
ReplyDeleteHi Karen. Great idea. Why wasn't it done before? I collaborate on a book review blog, Reading at Dawn: http:readingatdawn.blogspot.com and also write reviews on my blog, L'Aussie and do author guest posts.
ReplyDeleteThanks for doing this.
Denise
Hi again. Well, I wrote the address of Reading at Dawn incorrectly.
ReplyDeleteTry: http://readingatdawn.blogspot.com
I also follow Thoughts in Progress, but have you noticed Afterglow Book Reviews? Several of our bleeps contribute, and it's all book reviews. Just fyi~ :o)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great and incredibly helpful idea, Karen; thank you!
ReplyDeleteI post book reviews every other Tuesday on Bird’s-eye View, http://michellefayard.blogspot.com, and run the author interview that Thursday, usually in conjunction with a giveaway contest; this can be either a book or a service such as a query or first 200 words critique.
All reviews that post on Bird’s-eye View also go on www.amazon.com and www.goodreads.com. I also include the book on my blog page Books by Blogging Friends.
I am open to most fiction genres and age levels, although I tend to shy away from sci-fi and fantasy and especially love historical fiction and mysteries.
Karen, you're a genius! Great idea ;)

I've read a few bloggers books, but not sure if I have much time to do any more this summer. Maybe this fall when the editing of Opening is finished I could do a few reviews.
ReplyDeleteThis is so helpful, Karen. Thanks!

I don't know if you've ever checked out MizB's "Teaser Tuesday"s, but there are tons of bloggers who participate who are mostly book bloggers. Her link is:

And I also post reviews whenever I read a book.

This is a great idea, Karen!
ReplyDeleteThis is a fantastic idea. I'm already bookmarking sites.
ReplyDeleteHi Karen,
ReplyDeleteI came through after reading Deniz's post. I review romance novels and post on more than ten different sites. The links are on the sidebar of my blog.
And every week I feature an author with giveaways.
Thanks, you came up with a great idea!
What a great idea, Karen. I'll have to read your previous post.
ReplyDeleteI already did read your previous post! I'm traveling, so I'm a little scattered. Sorry!
ReplyDeleteI know that there are countless book reviewing sites, but I wanted to get links of reviewers that I either know and follow, or that are recommended to me. It narrows the field somewhat to have a list of bloggers who are willing to accept a reviewing request.
ReplyDeleteHi I am a Book Reviewer and would like to be included on this site to review some books. I already review books for Macmillan Cancer.org.uk and another company in america where I have reviewed well over 6 books and counting
ReplyDeleteHi I would like to sign up as a book reviewer on this site. I already write book reviews for Cancer Macmillan UK and another site in America and Amzaon and goodread
ReplyDeleteHi, I have a book review site at http://a-reader-lives-a-thousand-lives.blogspot.co.uk/ and have recently started accepting review requests (though I've been blogging a lot longer) and would appreciate the mention :)
