As nice as this new giraffe is with his "Hi, I'm cute too. You like me, right?" sometimes I miss my old giraffe. But as I mentioned in a post awhile back, he has a new gig.
Want to see what it is?
He's perfect for the job, the way he looks all "Uh, I'm a little lost but if I stay here awhile I'll soon be at home."
Okay, enough teasing. If you go here, you can see my old giraffe, and get a clue as to what he's up to right now.
Well that just goes to show how observant I am. *blushes deeply* I didn't realise you'd changed giraffes... but then I am a City girl so you wouldn't expect me to recognise giraffes, would you? And yes I did click the link and will now pop over to 'you know where' (don't want to spoil the surprise) and have a read!
ReplyDeleteWell, well - how lovely:-)
ReplyDeletecool!
ReplyDeleteAwesome new gig there!
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome holding page!
ReplyDeleteJessica, Thanks! I've looked at it (and the site) so much that it's no longer new to me and I forget how much I love the overall feel and design of it.
ReplyDeleteDonna, He just seems to fit doesn't he? It took us forever and a lot of false starts to come up with the perfect home page feature. And when we tried my sweet giraffe, it just clicked.
Yes, I did miss your old giraffe. But he's fond a new, good place — among writers and readers. Wow!
ReplyDeleteBTW, does this have anything to do with the giraffability of diversions, or anything like that?
Awwww he's gone to nibble some celery! Yay! Take care

I like both giraffes and think most parties ought to have more than one. It's good to let him feel useful though.
ReplyDeleteHe's now working under the Celery Tree!
ReplyDeleteHow do authors join the other site? I know 5 who might be interested.
ReplyDeleteThe link wouldn't go through for me...so I'll just let you know that I like the new guy!
ReplyDeleteRose, It's closed to new members right now but once the site is launched, anyone who qualifies can join. You just need to have a published book and submit it for review. Once Celery tree goes live, I'll be promoting it like crazy and so will all the other pre-launch authors.
ReplyDeleteAlex, Yes, hardly working!
Oh, that looks lovely! I would love to join when it's ready. All giraffes are pretty nice, methinks.
ReplyDeleteI like both giraffes! :)
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see the new Celery Tree site when it's all set up.
I like this giraffe--he's all kinds of cute. Glad you found a new gig for the old one, though.
ReplyDeleteHe had to get a day job? :)
ReplyDeleteYour tag line is fantastic! Leave the jungle...join our village. I love it.
ReplyDeleteI didn't realize it was a different giraffe picture either. But I like the look of the Celery Tree site.

Tossing It Out
I feel like Rosalind. But the first guy got a very important promotion.
ReplyDeleteCan't believe I missed the change.
RIGHT! I thought your heading looked different, but I'd decided you just changed your font... LOL! I like your new giraffe. And the old one~ :D
ReplyDeleteHi Karen
ReplyDeleteI didn't notice the change, sorry.
Would like to share with you that I visited Hamleys toy store in Dublin a few months ago and in one section of the store was a fabulous toy giraffe in real life size. I immediately thought of you! It cost E7,000 ($12,000) a tad above my shopping budget LOL
Mari, When my ship comes in and I can afford my dream trip to the UK, I will go to Dublin and buy that giraffe!! It will need to be an awfully big ship, as $12,000 is as much as a new car (almost.)
ReplyDeleteI like them both! Now I'm off to see where the original went...
ReplyDeleteIt's looking good over there at Celerytree. Mind you, can't giraffes multitask?!
ReplyDeleteHi Karen .. love giraffes - all things African! and a few other things .. like Celery .. great that you've got two long-necked wonders keeping an eye on you .. cheers Hilary
ReplyDeleteHope I can post .. with this embedded comemnt box ..
