Remembering KarenG's Labor Day Barbecue

The Labor Day Barbecue was a super fun event I did for two years in a row, where people left a comment of what goody they'd bring and then everyone visited each others' blogs. It completely slipped my mind this year because a) it came really early this year and b) I've been preparing for the launch of my new novel.

So no Labor Day Blog Barbecue this year, sorry! I will miss it.

However, to celebrate the holiday and share with my blog followers, WiDo is offering Lighting Candles in the Snow on the Kindle for $1.99! The ebook will be regularly priced at $4.99 upon official release Sept. 18. Three bucks is a nice discount that I'm thrilled to offer to my blogging buddies.

You don't need to be a follower or a fan to get this deal. It's right here on the Amazon site for Candles. Happy reading and for those of you in the U.S., enjoy your four-day weekend! But just in case I were having the Barbecue this weekend, what would you bring?

  1. The BBQ was a great event that helped me add a nice chunk to my followers roster. I haven't been doing much of that nature anymore, just trying to keep up with the followers I have. Have a great restful Labor Day weekend.

I do hope you have the time to have your BBQ Event next year, sounds like a lotta fun.
Right now, I am going to cruise with my Kindle and take advantage of saving $3 - very kind of you to be so kind to your fellow bloggers. Thanks a bunch and have a nice weekend.

    1. Michael, I know, I feel bad about skipping it, too. But maybe this special deal will help make up for it a little. And next year I'm pretty sure I won't be having a book coming out in September! Although I seem to be on a fall schedule. Last year my novel came out in October.

  12. Congrats Karen. I'm feeling hungry after talk of barbecues. We've got drizzle and chilly overcast weather here.
$3 is a great saving. Exciting! Good luck with the book sales. I wish i owned a Kindle. I'm hoping to get one soon as I get neck ache reading stuff off the computer screen, though I so prefer real books.

  15. Happy Labor Day to you and your family. I'm glad Elisa, a blogger friend who writes books has become a follower of yours. I mention you when I think people may not know about you. You are such a great help to authors. FYI -- The mouse was washed and spin dried, so yes, he was dead as a door nail. Still quite a shock to grab him.

  16. Boy - No wonder I'm ravenous!! So that's the reason - you're late with your BBQ!! LOL.

I seem to be able to post comments much more easily than two year's ago! Remember? LOL.

    1. Eddie, I'll always remember your first visit to my blog back then. I loved all your comments even if they did go straight to spam. And I finally found them and solved the mystery of the disappearing comments LOL.
