Kennedy Carter has the perfect life. It includes an engagement to an NHL
celebrity all-star, a Vera Wang wedding dress, and more money than she
could ever spend. But when Kennedy learns that her fiance Todd is
cheating on her, she's ready to leave the glamour and glitz behind.
She
escapes to Orlando, Florida with a plan to rebuild her life while
staying hidden from a country obsessed with celebrity scandals. The real
world however, is tougher than she expected. Suddenly Kennedy has to
deal with cockroaches, creepy alarm salesmen, and waiting tables...
along with David, a gorgeous new love interest.
But what happens
when the past refuses to stay hidden? When the truth of her background
catches up to her, Kennedy must finally decide who she is, what she
wants and where she really belongs.
Whitney Boyd's new novel is HOT. Now free on the Kindle for Valentine's Day, it shot up the Amazon Bestseller Lists: #1 in Teen Fiction, #3 in Women's Fiction and #40 on the Top Bestsellers. You can get it here.
Happy Valentine's Day! I hope your romance today is just the way you like it.
Great review and what a cool (no pun intended) book cover. This will motivate me to get my wifi situation figured out. Soon. so I can use the Kindle a friend gave me. Have a great Valentine's Day.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a fun read... IT reminds of those mini series from the eighties... LOL.
ReplyDeleteI want that dress! Thanks for telling us about the book, too! :-)
ReplyDeletePerfect *red* for Valentine! Best to Whitney Boyd on the release of her second book with WiDo.
ReplyDeleteP.S. Unlike C. Lee MacKenzie, I wouldn't look good in that dress...
That looks like an interesting book; I always love a love story, especially on Valentine's Day. I just wish it was available on Nook too, because I have a Nook rather than Kindle.
ReplyDeleteVery nice review Karen - That dress is stunning - I remember when I could wear something that beautiful - now it would have to be a little more rounded and shortened. ha,ha Best of luck to Mz Boyd on the release of her book>
ReplyDeleteWe do NOT want to deal with creepy repairmen and cockroaches, but it sounds like a fun book. Good luck, Whitney, and nice to "see" you, Karen.
ReplyDeleteI love the cover and had to get the book! Thank you!
