Every year I just can't resist the lure of the A to Z Challenge. The challenge of posting daily through the month of April. The lure of the alphabet. What writer can resist the alphabet? It's the tools of our trade after all.
I'm not yet sure what my theme will be, but I can bet it'll have something to do with an expat writer living her dream in Guatemala.
Want to sign up? Head on over to Arlee Bird's blog right here.
Glad you're on board, Karen! You can't resist. Resistance is futile...
ReplyDeleteI hoping to work with a group for the A to Z challenge. It would cool to get back into this again. It was, afterall, my first A to Z challenge that kickstarted my Indie publishing career :-)
ReplyDeleteNot for me, thanks. But enjoy.
ReplyDeleteI'm seeing this on a few blogs today: it's come round again very quickly hasn't it? I think I'll probably give it a miss this year. Well, unless a killer theme comes to me sometime soon...
ReplyDeletei am dizzy and it's not even april yet!
ReplyDeleteApril is so exciting. I haven't decided on my theme yet either.
ReplyDeleteHI, Karen,
ReplyDeleteI LOVE your Header pic... So beautiful. I hope Guatemala is a living dream for you! At least you are out of the COLD!!!!
This winter is kicking me to the ground. I can't take much more of these minus wind chills and knee deep snow. I am so longing to escape to the south!
Today I took the first step in preparing my condo for sale. I hope to put it on the market within the next few weeks. Once sold, I will break the sound barrier for speed moving south! LOL.
As for the A-Z, every year I say, well I just have the time...every April first I am posting. LOL. The same goes for this year.
I guess it all depends where I'm at ... if I'm moving HOPEFULLY, I will pass but if I am still locked away in Siberia. Perhaps. How's that for a definite maybe. LOL.
ALL the best! I am really thrilled you are living your dream!
Thanks, Karen :) I just signed up, too. Last year I learned a lot about memoir writing through the challenge. This year...? ~Miriam
ReplyDeleteAll signed up and done at my sea, now just a fun spree
ReplyDeleteWow - looking forward to learning all about Guatemala alphabetically! :-) Take care

I'm in, I'm in! I'm nervous, but I'm in.
ReplyDeleteBrave, always. I look forward, as I do in all Alphabet compilations, to what you'll do with X...
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately I can't sign up because I'm basically drowning in footnotes over here (my dissertation and all the scholarly books I have to read). But I'm looking forward to reading your A to Z posts; it's always a relief to read good writing like yours after reading books that have at least 75-100 footnotes per chapter. (I wish I was exaggerating.)
ReplyDeleteWith two book releases this year, I think I may have to give it a miss :(
ReplyDeleteOnce again, I'm totally on the fence!
ReplyDeleteWe'll see...
Hi Karen - what a beautiful setting - I'd move there too .. any room?!
ReplyDeleteI've signed up .. and will be a part of the Challenge - it's a fun time .. and your Guatemala saga will be great to read A - Z wise ..
Happy times down south (more south)! Cheers Hilary
I can't resist it either - I look forward to it every year. Your Guatemala theme will be perfect! Love your new header picture - how lovely.
ReplyDeleteJust signed up! Love this challenge!!!
ReplyDeleteSigned up! Can't wait for April.
ReplyDeleteSitting it out this year. Got too much happening in May and need to prepare.
ReplyDeleteOh, I loved the A to Z challenge when I did it a few years ago. Unfortunately, I anticipate being very busy for the earlier half of 2014, and I don't think I'll have the time. But I'll check out others' posts for sure. :)
ReplyDeleteGlad you're with us again. Thanks for helping to spread the word.

Tossing It Out
Can't believe it's almost time again. I've never join in but always enjoyed keeping up with everyone else's journey.
ReplyDeleteProbably not, but I'm not positive yet. I reeeeeeally need to get cracking on my next book, and I'm not talented enough to juggle a while lot of blogging with a whole lot of writing. Something's gotta give. But good luck to y'all. I know you'll have fun with it.
ReplyDeleteEvery time I see that badge I get the shakes. So much to do. So little time to do it in! Here's to April.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the reminder and I can't believe you have actually moved. I can't wait to read an A to Z of your new life and adventures.
ReplyDeleteI've signed up. This is only my third time doing the challenge. Last year still haunts me. Two days before it started my job picked up some extra work and we stayed swamped through April. I am trying not to let that bother me this year, but it has. Maybe I just need a new game plan!
ReplyDeleteI just got brave enough to sign up last week. My theme will be ghost stories. I'm looking forward reading about Guatamala.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for suggesting it! I signed up today and am already thinking of ideas.
ReplyDeleteKaren, thank you for visiting my blog for #IWSG Wednesday. I have signed up for the 2014 A-Z Challenge. I use it to jumpstart my blogging juices for the rest of the year. I even have the topics picked: Blues, Interviews, Pupus, and Reviews. Should be fun, and I look forward to reading all about you living your dream in Guatemala!
