Make a comment and go haunt some new blogs, and if you spread the word you can win some great books. The rules are so easy that even those gearing up for NaNoWriMo and stressing out about it can do it-- leave a comment telling about your blog and if you are looking for a critique partner. Then go visit the other commenters new to you. Go blog trick or treating lol!
And for those of you planning on writing a novel in November, this cute guy may help you not stress out so much.
He's the awesome design of Michelle Gregory over at Beautiful Chaos. He's going on my sidebar for the month and whenever I feel like giving up on my new November novel, I will look at him and smile. He and my giraffe are buddies. In fact I'm feeling less anxiety about NaNoWriMo just looking at his cute face.

Hi Karen! I'm on the haunt right now and am so excited to discover new blogs. Good luck to you with NaNoWriMo. I'm not going to brave it this year (well, I never have in years past either, ha!) but I'm dedicated to writing a lot this November. The word vomit and the 50,000 just scare me too much to take on the challenge. :-)

Try not to stress about NaNo - unless stress is what you need to finish! Then go for it! I participated last year and found it both motivating AND guilt inducing... but definitley motivating ;-)

ReplyDeleteI really wish I could do Nano. Even if I didn't complete an entire novel, I still think it would be fun, and it'd be a good way to connect with other writers. But November is a really busy month during the school year, and I get even more neurotic when I'm overworked. It's like, I don't even NEED to drink caffeine because I'm in hyperdrive 24/7. But good luck with Nano though! Let us know how it goes.
