Toss spinach with onion rings and mandarin orange slices, then add this dressing. Yum! And it couldn't be easier. Just one more week of Recipes from A to Z!

Tangy Orange Vinaigrette Dressing

1 ½ tablespoon Dijon mustard
½ teaspoon minced garlic
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon hot sauce
¼ cup cider vinegar

Using blender, combine first five ingredients and pulse until well-blended. Add oil and mix until well-blended. Pour over salad and serve immediately. (If you want a really delicious spinach salad to add this to, try my Super Hero Spinach Salad.)

  1. I'm looking for new salad ideas for this summer.

  2. Yum! I love a good spinach salad. Plus, anything that doesn't involve actual cooking is all right by me. *grin*

  3. I am not experimental when it comes to salads. Don't know what my problem is because I like when other people make them. And this one sounds wonderful and healthy. I should just do it! (just remembered though, I must be one of the only people in the world who doesn't own an blender or food processor). Okay, step one...go to WalMart!

  4. Sounds awesome. I will definitely try this recipe out.

  5. Since I practically live on salads during this time of year, I'll give this a go to get some variety! Thanks.

    1. Lee, and you can add sunflower or pumpkin seeds, sliced hard-boiled egg, croutons and cheese to get a complete meal. Salads are great that way. We eat them all summer long.

  6. Ooh, I'll add this to my summer salad list! I love the orange.

  7. thanks, i am always looking for an interesting new dressings--sound divine!

  8. Definitely has the flavors to please!

  9. That salad looks really good. I like onions in particular. I just wish I had a blender, but then again my kitchen counter is so tiny there isn't room for one.

  10. Yum, that look delicious and it made my mouth water!

  11. Thanks! We love salads and eat them all the time. I let you know how this one came out!

  12. This is interesting. I've not tried orange in my dressing before. Neat idea.
