Tangy Orange Vinaigrette Dressing

Toss spinach with onion rings and mandarin orange slices, then add this dressing. Yum! And it couldn't be easier. Just one more week of Recipes from A to Z!


Tangy Orange Vinaigrette Dressing
Ingredients:
1 ½ tablespoon grated orange rind
1 ½ tablespoon Dijon mustard
½ teaspoon minced garlic
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon hot sauce
¼ cup cider vinegar
½ cup vegetable oil

Directions:
Using blender, combine first five ingredients and pulse until well-blended. Add oil and mix until well-blended. Pour over salad and serve immediately. (If you want a really delicious spinach salad to add this to, try my Super Hero Spinach Salad.)

  3. I am not experimental when it comes to salads. Don't know what my problem is because I like when other people make them. And this one sounds wonderful and healthy. I should just do it! (just remembered though, I must be one of the only people in the world who doesn't own an blender or food processor). Okay, step one...go to WalMart!

    1. Lee, and you can add sunflower or pumpkin seeds, sliced hard-boiled egg, croutons and cheese to get a complete meal. Salads are great that way. We eat them all summer long.

  9. That salad looks really good. I like onions in particular. I just wish I had a blender, but then again my kitchen counter is so tiny there isn't room for one.
